Dear Reflections Homeowners,

The Board of Directors has scheduled a Board meeting to occur Wednesday, January 26, 2022 with the closed Executive Session beginning at 6:00 p.m. Open Session begins at 7:00 p.m. with a general summary of actions approved during Executive Session.

The meeting will be held at the clubhouse, 2218 Binley Drive, Houston, TX 77077 and by Zoom. We will start Open Session as close to 7:00 as possible. There will be limited seating at the clubhouse, we are spacing the chairs 3’ apart to keep some social distancing. We encourage everyone attending the meeting in person to wear a mask. Zoom is available for all. Please use the credentials below for access to the Zoom meeting.

Dear Reflections Homeowners:

Please be advised The Reflections Homeowners Association, Inc. annual meeting previously scheduled for November 16, 2021, has been cancelled and will be rescheduled for December 14, 2021, beginning at 7:00 pm. The rescheduled meeting will be held at the clubhouse located at 2218 Binley, Houston Texas 77077 and via Zoom.

There will be two (2) Director positions for three-year terms available for election at the annual meeting. Mrs. Tonya Haynes will run for re-election. Mr. Stephen Mariscal, Mr. Robert Sweeney and Mr. Josue Lopez have submitted their names for candidacy.

Please also be advised that Mr. Stephen Mariscal and Mrs. Tonya Wilson have resigned their positions on the Board. Based on the Reflections HOA bylaws, these positions must be filled by Board appointment. The Board has determined that the best manner to handle this process to ensure transparency is to ask all interested persons to submit their names for the annual meeting election. The two candidates with the most votes will be elected to the 3-year term positions. The Board will then hold an open Board meeting immediately following the annual meeting election for the purpose of appointing candidates with the third and fourth most number of votes to the vacant positions left by the resignations.

It is with deep regret that we must inform you of Tonya Wilson’s resignation from the Reflections HOA Board.  Since her election to the Board and her appointment as President, Tonya has worked tirelessly to improve community relations and address the many repairs and upgrades our facilities required.  A well-kept, well run, safe and friendly community were always her top priorities.  We can’t thank her enough for all that’s been accomplished under her leadership.  We wish her well.

Neighbors,
You might notice two park benches have "Do Not Use" signs. These have become structurally unsound. Some of the other wooden benches are near the end of useful life.

We were able to find deal on five metal benches with installation at a substantial cost savings over buying two replacements at retail. The new benches will be installed TODAY in the following areas:
3 benches in the playground area
2 benches on the trail west of Gentryside.

At the same time, the bike rack will be relocated at the pool entrance area to make room for the Lending Library.

Hello Neighbors,
Over the next week or so there are some things happening in the common areas.
TRAIL
The trail work is scheduled for this week. They will install half the trail Friday (stay off Saturday) and the other half Saturday (stay off Sunday).

POOL

  • Reminder - Starting next week, September 13, the weekly maintenance closure will be on MONDAYS. It is anticipated the chemical system will be installed later this month and weekly maintenance closures will no longer be required.
  • There will be a plaster inspection soon. If you see divers in the pool, they are checking the plaster that was installed two years ago. There is no need to close the pool, just a heads up. Regular maintenance is critical to protect our assets.

Dear Reflections Homeowner: 
Our office has performed the preliminary deed restriction evaluation this week. The intention of this evaluation is not to enforce, but to evaluate the exterior condition of each property and notify all homeowners of general deed restriction concerns noted. We would like to give you some time to take action if you see that any of the following items pertain to your property, before formal individual notices are generated. Our first official deed restriction inspection will take place in September, at which time we will begin sending formal notices to homeowners pertaining to any deed restriction concerns. 

  • Landscaping
    • Prune trees/shrubs
    • Weed beds
    • Remove dead trees (including palm trees)/shrubs
  • Clean gutters
  • Fence maintenance required (loose or missing pickets or leaning fences)
  • Mildew on brick/siding
  • Holiday lights or decorations
  • Miscellaneous items (coolers, chairs, toys, etc.)
  • Unapproved signs or decorations
